Summer is flying by, and getting back to school is right around the corner. There are still a few weeks left for summertime fun, however. If you’re looking for some family-friendly activities to fill your end-of-summer calendar, we’ve got you covered.

Check out these 5 Things To Do in Palm Springs before going back to school:

Wet n Wild Palm Springs

  1. Back to School ZooCamp at the Living Desert: This fun-filled, education camp runs August 6-7, 8 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Campers will learn about the animals and their habitats, and will experience exciting behind-the-scene tours and animal encounters. The camp is $100 for nonmembers and $80 for members.

  2. Beat the Heat at Wet ’n’ Wild Palm Springs: Sneak in another trip to the desert’s most exciting oasis before school starts. Save big when you purchase the Family 4 Pack online, which includes 4 admission tickets and lunch!

  3. Learn and play at the Palm Springs Air Museum: From August 8th through the 12th, kids can test their flying skills in the Wright Brothers Challenge Simulator Fly-Off. The event lasts from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Your little ones will also enjoy the Tuskegee Airman Children’s Discovery Series on August 10 from 1:30-2:15 p.m. Children will learn from an instructor and receive an activity booklet. Then from August 13th through the 21st, kids can compete for a prize by searching for Kilroy’s six hiding places in the museum on the Looking for Kilroy Scavenger Hunt, from 11 a.m - 4 p.m. All activities are included with museum admission.

  4. Catch some poolside rays at the Ace Hotel: Grab a day pass for a relaxing day enjoying the hotel’s swimming pool and hot tub.

  5. Get your game on at Boomers! Palm Springs: Take advantage of the weekday deals before the kids are back in school! Monday through Thursday, everyone gets unlimited video games for $12. Or check out Sundown Sundays, when unlimited play wristbands—including Go Karts, Bumper Boats and other attractions—are $15 from 4-8 p.m.
